The Spicy Pork Skewers were to accompany the Chilli Garlic Mushrooms I made at the same time. This is another of the fiendishly simple recipes in the Australian Women's Weekly 'Easy Spanish Style' book - a book I can heartily recommend. This particular recipe does need a little advance preparation since the meat needs to be marinated in the herbs and spices for a few hours before grilling, but that in itself was a trivial task of throwing all the ingredients including the chopped meat into a large bowl, stirring, then refrigerating covered.

Changes from Published Recipe

Yet another occurrence where the main ingredient sold in my local supermarket not only didn't match the quantity in the recipe, but also was neither a multiplier nor a divider. I bought 420g of pork loin (extraordinarily tender) against the 750g listed in the book. In the end I decided to half the marinade ingredients which created a surplus of the liquid, but with no inconvenience and little difference from the author's intention I would suspect. Apart from that, I followed the recipe to the letter!
